ISAAC OWUSU (Chairperson)

Isaac was born in Accra, Ghana in 1984. He received his B.A from the University of Ghana in 2009, after which he served with the National Commission on Civic Education (Ghana) for his mandatory national service. Isaac briefly worked with Ghana Statistical Services between 2011-2012.

In 2012, he obtained his M.A in International Migration Management from Universitat Rovira I Virgili (Spain) in joint collaboration with Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona-Spain), Universitat Saint Denis-Paris, Universitat Baleares (Mallorca) and Sant Joseph University-Lebanon.

Isaac has been a member of the 3rd generation of Go Africa…Go Germany… and had since been an active member of GOAL, joining in 2010. He served on the previous (2014-2016) GOAL board as member with the key responsibility of ensuring the intercultural cohesion of our association.

Currently, Isaac is a PhD candidate in Migration Law at Universitat Rovira I Virgili (Spain). He is a member of the Association of Migration Experts, Barcelona, and works as consultant and accounts officer for Ati Asesores Union, S.L, and Barcelona and a ‘Shellback’.




KATJA KRUSE (Vice-Chairperson)

Katja is a member of the fifth Go Africa…Go Germany… exchange programme. She is currently based in Berlin, Germany.

Abigail, born in 1988 in Bolgatanga, Ghana, is a member of the sixth generation of the Go Africa…Go Germany… exchange programme, which took her to Ghana and Germany. She as well aided in the organisation of the Ghana aspect of the programme in 2013.

She holds an MA in International Relations and Diplomacy from the University of Birmingham, UK, with a professional background in International Development and Communication.





Living in Quito, Ecuador, Harald brings the Latin American spirit to German-African relations. He is happy to call GOAL his home since 2012.

Harald is a member of the fifth Go Africa…Go Germany… generation. Together with his group, who he shares great memories with as friends and fellows, he visited Germany, Belgium, Kenya, and South Sudan in 2011/12. In 2013/14, he also helped the seventh generation of Go Africa…Go Germany… to come together in Germany and Namibia, when he was managing the team responsible for the program’s planning and implementation.

Harald holds an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Munich and worked for several years in the civil society sector, focusing on international cooperation and exchange. He has fond memories of the many encounters with interesting people from all over the world. Such as the young sports coaches from the German-African sports camp, a project he helped to implement.
